How to start scandisk?

Ø Open windows explorer

Ø Select any drive Mouse right click

Ø Click on properties

Ø Click on tools tab

Ø Click on check now

Ø Check automatically fixes file system errors

Ø Click on start button

Ø Click on ok

Disk cleanup: - It is used to delete the unnecessary files.

Process:-

Ø Click on start button.

Ø Click on all program.

Ø Click on accessories.

Ø Click on system tools.

Ø Click on disk cleanup.

Ø Select drive.

Ø Click on ok.

Ø Again click on ok.

Start à Run à Type (cleanmgr) à Ok

The Disk Defragmenter: -It is use to delete the free space that are generated when information from the disk is deleted and program use.

How to start disk defragmenter?

 

Ø Open window explorer

Ø Select any drive

Ø Mouse right click

Ø Click on properties

Ø Click on tools tab

Ø Click on defragment now

Ø Select Drive like: - C, D etc.

Ø Click on defragment disk.

Ø Click on close

System information: -It is use to display the information about our system like processor, RAM capacity, OS name etc.

How to start system information?

Process: -

Start àAll programsàAccessoriesàSystem toolsàSystem Information.

Or

Start à Run à Type (msinfo32 / 64) à Ok

 

Task Scheduler: - It is use to schedule any program to run at specific time.

How to set task?

Ø Click on Start

Ø Click on All programs

Ø Click on Accessories

Ø Click on System tools

Ø Click on Task scheduler.

Ø Click on create basic task.

Ø Enter name.

Ø Click on next.

Ø Define trigger as daily, weekly, one time only etc.

Ø Click on next.

Ø Define date and time.

Ø Click on next

Ø Select start a program.

Ø Click on next.

Ø Click on browse.

Ø Select program.

Ø Click on open.

Ø Click on next.

Ø Click on finish.
