There are following parts of windows screen: -

 

Desktop: - All parts of windows screen are called desktop.

Start Button: - It display the left side of quick launch toolbar, consist of all programs.

Quick launch toolbar: - It display on the left side of the taskbar where available some program for frequently used.

Taskbar: - There are available at the bottom position of the desktop where available start button and time indicator is called taskbar. We can move taskbar in any side like left, right, top & bottom.

 

How to move the taskbar in any side?

Process: -

Ø Mouse right click on taskbar

Ø Click on properties

Ø Click on taskbar tab

Ø Click on taskbar location on screen

Ø Select location

Ø Click on ok

 

Time indicator: - It displays the right side of the taskbar which shows current system date & time. We can also change the current system date & time by double clicking on time indicator.

 

How to hide / show the time indicator: -

Process: -

Ø Mouse right click on Time Indicator

Ø Click on properties

Ø Click on clock behavior

Ø Select on on/off

Ø Click on ok

 

Desktop icons: - Desktop icons indicate some programmed on the monitor screen are called desktop icons.

 

How to hide / show the Desktop icons?

Process: -

Ø Mouse right click on blank area of the desktop

Ø Click on view

Ø Check / Uncheck show desktop icons

 

Wallpaper: - The background of screen is called wallpaper.

 

How to change wallpaper?

Process: -

Ø Mouse right click on blank area of the desktop

Ø Click on personalize

Ø Click on desktop background

Ø Click on browse

Ø Select location of your picture

Ø Click on ok

Ø Click on save change
